Welcome

  • Welcome to Crafton!

    Together We Can
Our motto of “Together We Can” weaves through all aspects of life on campus. We are a team to ensure each student achieves academic and personal success. Using the character pillars of Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Caring, and Fairness helps us develop outstanding citizens for tomorrow’s society. Character counts at Crafton.

Character Pillars 1888 Crafton School Ribbon Wall

Crafton Elementary school was established in 1888 and is one of the oldest schools in Redlands Unified School District. The oldest building on campus today is our library, which was dedicated in 1929. The rest of the buildings were constructed in the 50’s and modernized approximately 15 years ago. Crafton has a proud reputation of educating generations of students. Many of our students’ parents, and grandparents attended Crafton. Some of our staff members are even past students and many of their own children have attended school here. Many Cougars come back to find their “handprint” on our murals! We have a strong PTA and volunteer support system to complement our dedicated staff. Crafton’s student achievement rates exceed state and district averages. We have one of the largest elementary populations in Redlands and serve nearly 700 students from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities.

New Principal

  • I have been the assistant principal of Crafton Elementary School the past school year, and it is my honor and privilege to now serve as principal.  I am honored to work with such amazing teachers and parents of our future generations. I am committed to helping each student achieve their own goals and to develop into people of character. With the staff and our strong parent support team, we have been able to bring diverse populations together into a tight-knit community of learners. While the start of the school year looks very different this year, I know Crafton is up for the task! I am so proud of the way the teachers, staff and families have adapted to distance learning. I am confident we will have an amazing experience together as we learn new ways to gain knowledge and collaborate.

Thank you to our amazing community and staff for the support and encouragement you give our students daily. Together we can make a difference in their lives.

    Sincerely,
    Jennie Dyerly
