  • Welcome to Judson & Brown Elementary School

A place where our professional educators have continually shared best practices to improve student achievement with community support since opening our doors in 2006.

    Awards and Recognition

    • National Blue Ribbon Schools Award (2012)
    • California Gold Ribbon Award (2016 - recognizing outstanding academic achievement with our Co-Teaching & Inclusion Model)
    • CBEE Honor Roll School (2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015 - in 2014 we received STEM distinction)
    • Title 1 Academic Achievement School (2011, 2012 and 2016)

J & B is ranked #5 Most Diverse Public Elementary Schools in San Bernardino County. We embrace our diversity and welcome all students within our classrooms with several supportive programs designed to increase academic achievement. These programs include inclusive GATE certified teachers, Co-Teaching and math intervention. Pull-out/push-in academic support and Mild-Moderate Special Education classrooms also offer specialized support. We are unique in the district in that we have a Medical Therapy Unit located at the end of our campus. Although none of the J&B students are seen here, children are seen here for occupational therapy, medical visits and for wheelchair maintenance. Our campus also has two San Bernardino County Moderate-Severe classes. These students integrate with J&B students after school for chorus, during recess, and at lunch.

Our PTA is an integral part of what makes Judson & Brown Elementary a very special place to learn, play and make memories. They support our classroom programs and organize our memory making events such as the father/daughter and mother/son dances, field days, craft days, jog a thons, the Family Fall Festival and more!

We are the proud Jaguars of Redlands Unified and are invested in building a strong, rich learning community!

Principal’s Corner

  • Hello and Welcome to Judson & Brown!

Since walking onto campus in 2013 after being an Assistant Principal at Lugonia Elem. for 2 ½ years, I have enjoyed the time getting to know our families and community supporters.

I am proud to be the principal of Judson & Brown. I am a “transplant” to California from Pennsylvania and have always felt welcome here and at home. It is my goal that all students and their families feel welcome at Judson & Brown. As educators, parents, grandparents, and guardians we are tasked with a huge responsibility: that is the care, education, and guidance of our children/students. Our J&B Jaguar staff is dedicated, talented, compassionate and up to the challenge this responsibility offers. Like our outstanding staff, teaching is my passion. I have experience teaching in kindergarten, 2nd grade and 4th grade and was a TOA (Teacher On Assignment) for a span of 14 years in Redlands Unified. I taught English as a Second Language in Seoul, South Korea as well and enjoy learning about cultures around the world.

Our campus is snuggled in the center of many new housing communities and orange groves with the beautiful mountains as a backdrop. It is truly a wonderful setting as students play, snack and eat lunch. I have an open door policy and welcome you to stop in and say hello anytime. If I am not in the office you will most likely find me in a kindergarten classroom, awestruck with wonder of the 5-year-old mind!
