Smiley Elementary is rich in tradition and one of the outstanding schools in the Redlands Unified School District.  Opened in 1953, staff members demonstrated their dedication to children and families, and today's staff continues to work with the belief that all children can learn.  With our help and support we expect our students to successfully master curricula and be prepared for success as they continue their K-12 education.  We ensure learning takes place by providing a positive, safe, and constructive learning environment.  We work collaboratively with colleagues, students, families, and community members to achieve this shared educational purpose.  

Smiley Elementary School is an exceptional place to learn!  We are proud of the positive reputation that our school maintains and delighted to provide our students the best educational experience possible.  Our campus has been designated as a California Distringuished School and we have received recognition as an Honor Roll School by the California Business for Education Excellence (CBEE) in both 2018 and 2019.  Our students are challenged to meet their highest potential and supported in many ways to master grade level standards.  When students do not meet expectations, we work with families to provide additional support and intervention programs.  Together, we celebrate our successes with fun activities and a sense of pride in our accomplishments.  There is a warm family feeling at Smiley that permeates our campus.  

I couldn't be prouder to begin this venture with the students and families of Smiley School, and to partner alongside an outstanding group of hard working and dedicated professionals.  It is my honor to be the principal of this fine school!
