Mr. Erick Nowak
My name is Erick Nowak I have been teaching a Franklin since 2016. Before I started at Franklin, I held various positions throughout the district, including substitute teacher, instructional paraprofessional, independent study teacher, and an English Language Development teacher. Overall, my educational journey has been an interesting and wild ride, but each position had been a stepping stone in a path that has lead me to becoming a 1st grade teacher at Franklin.
So a little bit about me. I have been married to my beautiful, loving, and understanding wife, Jeanie for almost 5 years. She is a 4th grade teacher at Judson and Brown, but once was a teacher here at Franklin! We also have two children at home, Emily and Wyatt. Emily loves to sing, read and make everyone laugh. Wyatt loves to smile, grab everything he can and is just about ready to crawl. We also have one dog at home. Her name is Molly and she loves to play with Emily and Wyatt, run around making growling sounds and loves to swim. On my free time (which I never have because of my two precious kids) I enjoy golfing, flying/crashing and repairing various kinds of remote control aircraft, scuba diving, aerial photography, home improvement around the house, and my newest hobby is spinning tops. It is amazing how just watching something spin can relax someone and clear their mind. I also like watching baseball and hockey. As a family, we love going camping and seeing new destinations in our pop-up tent trailer. It is so much fun just getting away from all the everyday troubles and focusing on getting closer with nature. One of our favorite places that we have visited was Tombstone, Arizona. It is such an amazing little town that is full of so much history. We can't wait to go back and explore.
I’m looking forward to a wonderful year at Franklin, full of growing, learning and having fun.
Go Falcons!
