Students will learn medical terminology in relation to various body systems and medical procedures. Proper use of roots, prefixes and suffixes will be studied in the formation of medical words. Medical Terminology is a pre-requisite for Pharmacology for Health Professionals and Emergency Responder on the high school campuses.
Students will need to have a google account. Quizzes, Tests, unit packets and project assignments will all be completed through google docs / forms.
Students must abide by CVHS, CRY-ROP, and classroom computer useage policies in order to use the classroom laptops. Violations of laptop useage can result in students not beling allowed to use the classroom laptops. Extensions on assignments will not be granted due to student laptop use banishment.
This course meets current articulaion criteria in the following manor: An articulation agreement is an officially approved agreement that matches coursework between schools. Articulation agreements are designed to build strong partnerships between ROP and local community colleges. The agreement outlines specific courses, letter grades, and requirements completed at the ROP that will transfer to the community college.
