2019-2020 RUSD Bus Pass Information

  • Bus Pass applications can be submitted starting May 29th and all applications received through June 28th will be available for pick up as scheduled below for each school. Applications submitted after June 28th will be available after August 6th.

    To qualify for District transportation students must meet the following criteria:
    • Elementary Students must live greater than 1.5 miles from their assigned home school.
    • Middle School Students must live greater than 2.0 miles from their assigned home school.
    • Transportation is not available for High School students except for those that reside in Angeles Oaks & Forest Falls.
     
    Bus Pass Application:
    The Transportation Department is requiring ALL bus riders to submit an updated application by selecting the application below or by obtaining a paper copy from the Transportation Office.

    Submitting the Application:  
    You can submit the application for the 2019-2020 school year by Walk-ins only at 955 E Citrus Ave Redlands M-F 8-3:30. 

    Picking up the Bus Pass:  
    Bus passes will be available for pickup at the Bus Pass Office beginning August 1st @ 956 E Citrus Ave (across from Redlands High School) between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

    Route information:
      The bus stop location will be printed on the bus pass, so please read it carefully to ensure that you are aware of any changes.
     
    ZPass Plus/Student Tracking (Click for more info):
    The ZPass Plus system allows for parents or guardians to monitor when their child boards and exits the school bus by receiving an alert message to their cellphone or computer.

    Fee Waiver:  Children of families with income at or below the Federal guidelines for free or reduced price lunch will be eligible to receive free or reduced cost of transportation services. To determine if you qualify, go to https://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/nu/rs/scales1920.asp

    If you believe you qualify for free or reduced lunch, you should check the box on the application. To expedite the processing of your application, you may grant us the ability to obtain information from Child Nutrition Services to verify free or reduced status.  Please fill out the application in its entirety.

    REPLACEMENT FEE FOR LOST/STOLEN/DEFACED/DAMAGED BUS PASS: $10.00

    Intra-District Students:  Students who are on an intra-district transfer and can safely access service from an existing stop may apply for a Conditional Bus Pass. Conditional Bus Pass Applications will ONLY be considered based on space availability AFTER Labor Day.

    Refund Policy:  Bus pass refunds are available on a pro-rated basis ONLY. In order to file a refund, you must return bus pass and complete the refund slip. There will be a $20.00 processing fee.
