Orangewood students are encouraged to join the Engineering Technology courses if they have an interest in engineering, technology, physics, math, designing or building things. Being enrolled in one of the Engineering Technology courses qualifies you to be on the OHS Engineering Team. If you enjoy competition with other schools, the OHS Engineering Team is one place you can do that.
Each year, we will be competing in Skills USA events, Purdue University’s national Chain Reaction contest, and the annual Rube Goldberg Machine contest.
This page will be updated as contests approach. If you have any questions or are just curious about joining, contact Mr. Stewart in room 9 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Rube Goldberg Machine Contest will be taking place virtually this year. The 2023 task is to build a Lunchable!
We are also competing in the Rube-A-Thon event hosted by the Rialto High School and UCR MESA Programs. This event will be a scratch build on the spot event on Saturday February 4th.
Skills USA CO2 Dragsters are due January 20th and the Urban Search and Rescue Robotics are due on February 4th.
If you are interested, please come talk to Mr. Stewart in Room 9.
