I am so excited to become the assistant principal of Franklin Elementary and a member of Redlands Unified School District. My name is Jessica Lunsford-Johnson. This is my twentieth year in public education. In the twenty years, I have taught first grade and third grade in a traditional classroom. I taught 6th grade, 11th grade and 12th grade in an online classroom . I have been a district Teacher on Special Assignment with the specialty of Reading Intervention for a little over seven years. Before I was in public education, I was a preschool teacher at a private school for two years.

As an educator and a child development major, the well-being and best interest of children are my central focus. I believe in fostering positive, respectful, and trusting relationships with all staff, and I think these relationships are a huge factor in the community of the school which benefits all stakeholders. 

I look forward to supporting the principal, the staff, students, parents, and community members through the role of assistant principal. I have read your School Accountability Report Card and looked over Franklin’s website and social media. I am thrilled to start working at such an amazing school, students, and staff. I can’t wait to get to know all of you.
