My ultimate goal as an educator is to enable students to become proficient in reading, writing, and speaking; I strive to find ways to implement new teaching methods, and I utilize resources that will enable students to become self-sufficient in all of their endeavors. I obtained a BA in English from The University of Hawaii at Manōa, and I received an M.Ed in Secondary Education from Hawaii Pacific University. I have worked for the Redlands Unified School District for six years now, and I have taught English for a total of ten years. I enjoy teaching English, and I am passionate about education. I am also the advisor for the Peer Tutors course; it is a real privilege to be able to work at Clement Middle School, because everyday I get to teach these wonderful students at a school that does not settle for anything less than excellence.
