Hi!! How exciting to be back in the kindergarten classroom after all of these years. Kindergarten is near and dear to my heart. I am constantly amazed at all the growth I have the pleasure of witnessing at this level. I am excited to have the priveledge of watching your student begin their journey in his or her elementary education. I have been teaching in the Redlands Unified School District since 1997. I have taught many different primary grades at McKinley, Lugonia, and Judson and Brown. Prior to that, I was an aide in a kindergarten classroom from 1993-1997. I believe kindergarten is where children begin to form their elementary school foundation. I take building a solid foundation for them very seriously. I take great care to ensure that your child not only learns the required curriculum, but forms attitudes that make them eager to come to school. Kindergarteners are just beginning to learn behavioral and social expectations of school, as well as academics. My classroom strives to teach in all three of these realms. My goal is to teach them about the joy of learning. This joy should set them on track to continue a rewarding and prosperous elementary school experience.
I love to travel and learn about new cultures and traditons. I am fluent in both German and Spanish. My husband and step-son live in Rosarito, Mexico, where we own and operate a children's toy and clothing store. I take many trips south for visits throughout the year during my weekends and holidays. I also have a teenage daughter, and a son in preschool. We work together as a family to keep this rather unique boat afloat.....
