Welcome

  • 1903 McKinley School House

Welcome to McKinley Elementary School where students come first and standards of academic excellence abound. A significant historical fact about McKinley is that it was the last of ten schools to be built in the city of Redlands before incorporation at the astronomical cost of $10,000 in 1903. Most of the current facilities were built in 1938 with an additional wing of classrooms added in the 1960's. In 1998, six portable classrooms were placed on the campus to house an increasing student population. Nevertheless, it continues to be a quaint neighborhood school rich in tradition and known for not having a parking lot. Most of our students live within walking distance of the school which is why, on a typical day, you will see parents and children arrive hand-in-hand excited to be on campus.
