• American Government: American Government is a one-semester, five-unit course of study. Students are introduced to the origins and background of American Government. Included in the course content are the political process, American governmental institutions, civil rights and responsibilities, and the structure and functioning of state and local government.

    Economics: Economics is a one-semester, five-unit course of study which introduces the students to the need for effective decision making. Microeconomic and macroeconomic units are studied and students will use tools of analysis to understand economic concepts and relationships. Throughout the course, contemporary and global economic issues are incorporated into the curriculum.
