Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Matt Jakstis

This will be my fifth year working at Redlands High as an English teacher and I'm excited to continue to be a part of the Terrier family. I teach English 9 and AP Literature and Composition and I also am an assistant coach for our speech and debate team.

I grew up in Corona, California, attended UCR and obtained my B.S. in Business Administration. I worked in the business field for a few years until I decided to follow my passions and move toward a career in education. I earned my single subject teaching credential in English Language Arts from CSUSB and my M.A.Ed. in Teaching in Learning from Brandman University.

Office Hours - During In-Person Learning:

I always try to make myself available to assist any students who are struggling or are looking to get ahead. I will have Zoom meetings between 2:00-3:00 after school.
