Cross-Age Teaching

This is a one-semester, five-unit course of study. Students are introduced to the best practices and techniques of elementary education. Students will be bussed to their assigned elementary school four days a week, and receive direct instruction at RHS one day a week. While at the elementary schools, they will be guided by their Advising Teacher and Ms. Turnpaugh in the implementation of academic tutoring, classroom management, and emotional support techniques. Cross-Age Teaching (CAT) students are an integral part of the classrooms in which they assist, and will be relied on to do their best and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
