Robotics & Automation is a lab-based course that uses a hands-on approach to introduce the basic concepts of robotics, focusing on the construction and programming of autonomous mobile robots. Course information will be tied to lab experiments; students will work in groups to build and test increasingly more complex autonomous systems and robots.
We will be using VEX Robotic Design System as our platform. Students will work in small groups to complete a variety of robot construction and programing activities.
Beginning Monday, April 13, 2020, all of my courses will meet online on the following days and times:
Monday 9-11 am
Office hours by email only are Wednesday 11am-noon
Well. It turns out I was NOT just overly paranoid about hand washing and sanitizer. I hope everyone is safe and healthy. If you need anything at all, please let me, or any of your teachers know.
Things will be different for a while. That's for sure. How are we going to do this? I don't know, but we will figure it out. By now you have all probably heard what will happen with grades, classes, etc.
There will be no Skills USA state or nationals.
If you have your own computer, and want to install Fusion360, please do that. If you wnt Solidworks, let me know, and I will email you the download and install link. Your computer will need to be fast enough to run it though. You can also download and install Vex V5.
If you want to improve your current grade, send me anything you do. Your grade can only go up.
If you find anything that may be usefull, helpful, or fun for the robotics classes to do, please send it my way.
Use this as an opportunity to be creative, inventive, and helpful.
