Chromebook Policy
Redlands Unified School District understands that computing devices and Wi-Fi connectivity are essential components of a student’s educational experience. Therefore, all ninth-grade students in RUSD are issued their own Chromebook at the beginning of their high school experience, and they keep this device until they graduate. This ensures that every high school student in the district has access to a device at school and at home.
Additionally, RUSD is dedicated to providing at-home access to computers or Wi-Fi for elementary and middle school students who need them. Parents can indicate this need during data confirmation at the beginning of the school year in Aeries Portal, or they can let a school official know of the need. Following are some important policies governing take-home Chromebook use.
