Adult Transition
Redlands Unified School District – Adult Transition Program
Redlands Unified School District’s Adult Transition Program (ATP) provides young adults with disabilities meaningful opportunities to develop essential skills for independent living, employment, and community participation. Through hands-on, real-world experiences, students gain confidence and practical knowledge that prepare them for life beyond high school.
The program currently includes two ATP classes at Citrus Valley High School (CVHS) and three ATP classes at Redlands High School (RHS). The RHS site proudly houses Studio 24, an innovative classroom that transforms into a full-service restaurant once a month. Students plan the menu, prepare and serve the food, manage cash transactions, and provide customer service—all within a welcoming, calm, and beautifully designed environment that enhances the dining experience.
Studio 24 was recently honored with the Golden Bell Award from the California School Boards Association, recognizing its excellence and creativity in providing students with authentic vocational training and community engagement opportunities.
Reservations are required to dine at Studio 24. To experience this remarkable student-run restaurant, please contact the Special Education Department at (909) 307-5300.
