  • Distance Learning Announcement

     April 7, 2020

     Hello Smiley Knights!

This is your principal, Mrs. Bamsch with some very important information. We sent this very information via phone, email, or text today through AERIES Communication. If you did not receive a phone call, text, or email, we need your updated information so that we can contact you with important information from the school. Please send updated phone numbers, address information, email information, etc. to maria_c_lopez@redlands.k12.ca.us, or you are welcome to send it directly to me at luanna_bamsch@redlands.k12.ca.us

Our Smiley teachers and staff are working very hard at this time in preparation for Distance Learning to begin on Monday, April 13th. Teachers are updating their webpages and reaching out to families to check on the welfare of our students and families. This is our primary goal throughout this week. If you have not heard from your child's teacher, please send an email to the teacher, or email me directly and I will help you connect. I can be reached via email at the email address referenced above.

There is never a time when communication has been more important between home and school. Please check our Smiley website regularly as we will post important information. You will also want to frequent the Redlands Unified School District (RUSD) webpage, specifically reviewing information contained in the RUSD Toolkit/Distance Learning page. If your child does not have access to a device for distance learning, Chromebooks are being distributed this week. Please see the RUSD webpage for information specific to your child.

On Monday morning, April 13th every teacher will have their Distance Learning schedule posted with student meeting days and times as well as teacher's office hours. Teachers will also be notifying you of the best way in which they can be reached. Please reach out to us should you or your family need anything. We are here for your child's success, both academically and social-emotionally.

Please stay safe, stay home, and stay well. WE MISS OUR SMILEY KNIGHTS!

    Sincerely,

     Mrs. Bamsch
