Welcome To Transitions Kindergarten!

My name is Paula Perez and I am the Transitional Kindergarten (TK) teacher here at Arroyo Verde.  I began teaching kindergarten in 1990 -all but 2 years have been here at Arroyo Verde! My passion for teaching the younger students is evident as most of my years have been in kindergarten with a bit of administration fill in as needed. I have been the TK teacher here at Arroyo since the program was first implemented in California. I believe in a hands-on developmental curriculum and a purposeful play learning environment.  I am excited for this school year to begin! 

Here is a little bit of my background.  I am a Redlands Unified School Alumni, as are my three sisters, brother, and my two sons. Our roots run deep in Redlands but I am a resident of East Highland.  There is no bigger joy than to see my students growing up in our community.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in Spanish and a Master's Degree is in Education Administration both from Cal State University San Bernardino.  I hold a Multiple Subjects Credential/Bilingual-Bicultural Emphasis as well as an Educational Administration Credential.   

Our school is part of the No Excuses Univerity (NEU) and our class represents-New York University "NYU" - Go Bobcats!
