I graduated from high school in 1987 from York Pennsylvania. I was a varsity swimmer and played varsity football (defensive tackle). I am a first generation American- my father immigrated from Germany. My mother is from Sweden. In 1988 my parents moved my family to Germany while my father was on sabbatical. In 1990-1992 I went on a LDS mission to Brazil. In 1994 I graduated from York College of Pennsylvania. In 1995 my wife and I moved with our two children (Olivia and Spencer) to Korea and worked as TESL teachers. In 1997 I started teaching for the wonderful Redlands Unified School District. In 2004 I earned my master's degree from National University. I have been a muralist for the district, painting many buildings and walls at Lugonia and Franklin Elementary schools as well as the wall mural in Moore Middle School's library. I have also been honored with Redland's, "Teacher of the Year" for the 2002 school year. I have been a bilingual teacher, j.v. water polo coach for Redlands East Valley High School and am GATE certified. In my free time I love to act and travel. I have been honored with an Inland Theater Award for my role as Mervin Ogelthorpe in Sander's Family Christmas and my most memorable place I visited was a Marine escort into North Korea.
