Welcome to Kindergarten!  

Welcome to Mrs. Busi AM Kindergarten Class.  I am so glad to be your teacher this year.  I am ready to support your child and you through this school year in whatever way I can.   We will have so much fun learning this year!

My name is Dawn Busi and have been teaching since 1989.  I have taught every primary grade level, and think teaching Kindergarten is the best. I graduated from La Sierra University with a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in teaching reading. Over the years, I have been a Reading Recovery Teacher, Resource Teacher, and CELL Early Literacy Leader.   I have been married for 30 years and have two children.  Both attended Pepperdine University, which is why I have Pepperdine has my No Excuse University.  Go WAVES! My oldest child is currently pursuing a career as a Physicians Assistant. My youngest child has transferred to Loma Linda University to pursue a career as a Speech Pathologist.   I love to travel, read, and go to yoga when I am not getting ready to teach Kindergarten.
