Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Morris has taught kindergarten in the Redlands School District her entire career. She was at Smiley School for many years before coming to Mission 6 years ago. She received her degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from Kansas State Teachers College.
Mrs. Morris enjoys the enthusiasm and spontaneity of young children so kindergarten is the perfect place to be! She especially enjoys sharing her love of good books and instilling the joy of reading in her students. Another of her passions is encouraging the creative side of her kindergarteners by giving them many experiences with various art medias. One of the programs she uses regularly with her class is called "Arts Attack". Her classroom is always a gallery of recent art projects! Mrs. Morris received a grant from the school district to create a video entitled "A Child's History of Redlands" which was used in the local schools as part of the Redlands history program. Mrs. Morris loves teaching kindergarten and is very happy to be a part of the Mission School staff.
When not teaching, Mrs. Morris enjoys reading, cooking and most especially, traveling with her husband and experiencing the customs, food and architecture of other countries.
