I have been a 4th and 5th grade teacher in Redlands for more than 20 years.  I graduated with honors from Cal State San Bernardino with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and a minor in Art History.  I received my teaching credential from University of California Riverside and went on to get a Master of Arts in teaching reading from National University.  Originally, I intended to teach Math, and passed the Natioinal Teachers Exam for teaching mathematics, but I discovered I enjoyed working with younger students and obtained an elementary credential instead.  During my college career, I studied a wide range of subjects that reflected my many interests--from art and history to mathematics and geology. I love sharing my enthusiasm for learning with my students and pushing them to develop high expectations for themselves.  When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with friends, hiking, traveling, or just relaxing at home.
