The objective of this course is to provide students with an intermediate/advanced understanding of the Spanish language, focusing on communication and proficiency.  This course focuses on the 3 modes of communication:  interpretive mode (understanding what is heard and read); interpersonal mode (speaking with another; writing informally); and the presentational mode (speaking in front of others; writing formally).  All 3 modes are practiced using knowledge of cultural products, practices, and perspectives.  We want students to use all 3 modes of communication in culturally appropriate ways. 

This class is treated as a college preparatory course and YOU will be treated as a college-bound, mature, and organized student! This course will challenge you and you will end up better for it! ¡Sí se puede!
