Dr. Lloyd Sherman

Lloyd Sherman was born in Westerly, Rhode Island and was educated in the public schools of Westerly.  The Sherman family lived near the beach (Alantic ocean) in Westerly and did what all good Rhode Islanders did in those days - eat steamers, walk to the beach, and go clamming for Quahogs.  After teaching in Rhode Island for 6 years and earning his Bachelors and Masters degrees in music education, he moved to Southern California to study at the Univ. of Southern California and earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in 1991.  Lloyd keeps himself and his family busy with musical performances, downhill biking @ Snow Summit, and composing music for ensembles and film.

Currently Lloyd is teaching in Redlands, California where he teaches Piano, Guitar and Music Fundamentals at both Citrus Valley and Redlands East Valley High Schools.  He was also remided recently that he is a "band dad" this year at Cope middle school where his daughter McKenna is carrying on the family trombone tradition.

The Shermans live in the Mountains of San Bernardino.
