Mr. Sean Regalado (He/Him)
I am so excited about working with you this year! Here is a little bit of information about myself. I am a graduate of Redlands High School in the class of 1993. I did my undergraduate work at UC Santa Cruz, where I studied sculpture (Bronze, Ceramic, and Metal Fabrication). Upon completing my BA in 1997, I got my teaching credential from Chapman University (1999) and my Masters at the University of Redlands (2007). In addition to my academic studies, I have also taken multiple design classes from special effects artist Jordu Schell. Currently, I am enjoying my 25th year of teaching high school art, and I’ve been teaching art at Crafton Hills College since 2008.
I am also currently working as a professional artist. Showing under the art name GOREilla. I usually do 5-10 art shows a year in galleries ranging from San Diego to Toy Con in the UK and Japan.
I believe that: Art is a skill, not a talent. All students can learn to make art that they can be proud of. Through work ethic and genuine effort, all students can be successful. Finally, I believe that creativity is a muscle that needs to be exercised through exposure, practice and communication.
