I graduated from Aquinas High School in 2006 and completed my college coursework at California Baptist University. My college experience is based in Graphic Design and Digital Media with a focus on Autodesk applications based on 3D modeling and physics engines. Prior to teaching I worked in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration industry for 12 years. My work experience is based on in electrical, computer control systems, compressors, motors, pneumatic control systems, fabricaiton, blueprint reading, and welding. I still work, occassionally, as a freelance graphic designer. My first graphic design project was the 35th anniversary logo for Crafton Hills College during my first year of college.
I believe in blending creativity with the engineering design process. My primary focus in the classroom is making students career and college ready through the devlopment of soft skills and work ethic. Hard skills are important, but to truly become an asset in any industry we must first develop our work habits and build a strong foundation that can support technical skills.
