Dr. La-Trice Johnson

I am honored to be the proud principal Franklin Elementary School. My name is Dr. La-Trice Johnson. I have been an educator for 24 years; 17 years as a teacher and Literacy Coach and BTSA Support Provider; the remaining years as an administrator. I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Northridge; Master of Science, Education Degree in Reading & Literacy from Walden University, and an Educational Doctorate in Administrative Leadership for Teaching and Learning, also from Walden University.

As your school principal, I am caring, committed, and have a love for learning. My belief is that all students can learn. We provide students with the necessary tools that equip them to exercise 21st Century skills, including the 4C’s: Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, & Communication. I am looking forward to working collectively  to ensure that we reach each student in fulfilling our school’s mission and Peacebuilder's Pledge:

“We at Franklin Elementary School work in partnership with students, parents, and community to provide a safe learning environment that educates, nurtures, and develops assets necessary for our students to become responsible community members. We expect our students to be proficient readers, writers, and mathematicians at their grade level and adopt the principles of our PBIS program. Franklin is a school where we learn and play in a responsible, and positive way. We work together to help everyone become the best they can be!”
