Degrees and Certifications:
Hello! I am Laurie Sauvage. I was born and raised in Redlands (Franklin, Moore, RHS class of 1983). I've been in the district for a long time. From 1990 to 1999 I was an instructional paraprofessional in a special education class.
I earned my bachelor's and credential and started my teaching career in 2000 (a 4/5 combo!). In 2003 I received a master's degree in teaching.
This past school year I served as a math coach and worked at FIVE different schools demoing and co-teaching lessons in grades k through fifth. I love collaborating with my fellow teachers as well as students of all ages and abilities.
I have two children: a daughter, Maddox (22) and a son, Mason (17).
I read voraciously, love to walk and exercise plus spend time with family, friends, and my SIX cats.
I have taught fifth grade for many years and like to serve on textbook adoption, common assessment, and standards committees to maintain my knowledge of current practices and instructional shifts.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. Thank you!
