Whitney Carnes was born and raised in Northern California with her parents and two siblings. She has always been very interested in traveling and knew she wanted to travel to Southern California for college. She was accepted to California State University, Long Beach and began her university career in Fall 2011. She got her Bachelors in Science in Mathematics Education in 2016 and finished her single subject credential in Mathematics in Fall 2016.  

Whitney got married to her husband in the Spring of 2017 and moved to Redlands to be closer to his family and our friends. She has enjoyed building their newlywed life together and can't wait to keep deepen their roots in this beautiful community. She is looking forward to the upcoming school year and is so excited for all the challenges, successes, and adventures Redlands Unified brings!
