2018-2019 Cope PTSA Board Members
It’s a pleasure and an honor being the PTSA president at Cope Middle School. I have two teenage daughters, attending Cope and RHS. I’ve worked in the healthcare field for over 25 years; my passions include animals, art, and helping others, especially kids. My favorite part about being involved in PTSA is connecting with the amazing teachers and staff.
Executive Vice President
I am excited to be Vice President and Eagle Express Newsletter Editor for Cope PTSA. My previous PTA experience includes being President and Historian at Bryn Mawr Elementary. When I am not helping out with PTSA or at work, I love baking, running, going to Disneyland, and spending time with my husband, our 3 kids and our Husky. We have a fantastic PTSA team and I’m looking forward to helping our Cope Eagles have a great year!
1st VP Fundraising
PTSA Fundraising is all about giving back to your students! As VP of Fundraising, my priority is to plan and organize fundraising events with the PTSA, students, teachers and other volunteers to meet budgetary needs. I have 4 children and work full-time in healthcare finance so I know how hectic life can be but with your support, we can make it a fantastic year!
Fundraising events are normally posted in Cope PTSA Facebook, via Remind and the Morning Bulletin/All-Call.
2nd VP Volunteers
I am a Redlands native and former Cope Eagle myself! This will be my 3rd year serving on Cope PTSA and my 9th year being involved with PTA in some capacity. I have a freshman at RHS and a 6th grader here at Cope. When I’m not busy being a full-time mom, I work part-time as a Respiratory Therapist. I’m excited about this upcoming year and look forward to recruiting our Cope parents to help make this an exciting year for our Eagles too!
Hi, my name is Justin B. Dorado, I am currently the Cope MS PTSA Secretary. I enjoy spending quality time with my family, and attending/watching major sporting events. My favorite part of being a PTSA member is knowing that I am contributing to improve the overall experience for students, parents and Cope MS staff members! #FunFact - I am an identical twin, so I always have a back-up!
I am a stay at home mom of 5 wonderful children; two have already graduated high school and are attending college, one currently attends RHS, one here at Cope and one in elementary school. This is my 10th year as a Cope parent. I have been involved in PTA in one way or another for 21 years. When we invest in our children the payoff is immeasurable.
Hello Cope families! My name is Michele Castro, mom to a 7th grader at Cope Middle School and 5th grader at Smiley Elementary. This is my first year on Cope’s PTSA. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym and competing in body building.

Joining the Cope PTSA is the best and easiest way to get involved at the school. Your membership does not require any time commitment from you, however, it does give you a voice and a vote in the PTSA activities at Cope.
As a member of the PTSA, you are able to participate in our Association Meetings that are announced on our website, our Facebook page, and in our parent newsletters. At these meetings we approve new board members, annual budgets, biannual audits, fundraisers and programs. You are also eligible to hold a position on the executive board.
“While some of the membership fees are passed on to the local, state and national PTA chapters, $6.75 out of the $12 dues stays at Cope Middle School, which means your students will directly benefit from your support. In addition to supporting the events and activities we fund at Cope, you are also given a number of "members only" benefits. Please click here for a list of these special offers.”
