Summer Garcia

Summer Garcia graduated Orangewood High School in 1999 and went on to receive her Associate of Arts degree in 2002 from San Bernardino Valley College. She then transferred to the University of Redlands when she completed her Bachelor’s degree and teaching credential. Summer received her Master’s in School Counseling and PPS credential in 2008 from the UOR and was hired to teach English at Clement Middle School. She spent the last thirteen years in the classroom teaching ELA and, more recently, the AVID elective and Journalism class, where she advised on the student newspaper, The Raven. Summer has been an Induction Coach for the past four years and mentors new teachers across the district. She is married with two daughters, one attending first grade and the other set to attend UC San Diego in the fall.
