Principal's Message

    Grizzly Parents and Families,

Welcome to the 2023-24 School Year!

I am excited as I enter my third year at Highland Grove. I have enjoyed meeting all the students and families and can not wait to meet everyone new to Highland Grove this year. I pride myself on working to build connections with my staff, students, and families. Know that I am always available to talk. Each year we create areas of focus, and this year we will work on developing our students in reading and writing. We have worked hard the last two years on our Grizzly Great expectations and Math. We will continue to develop all areas, but we need to build our focus areas.

This last school year, we became a Silver ranking school on our P.B.I.S. strategies. This year we are going for Gold! For families that may not be aware of what P.B.I.S. is, it is Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. P.B.I.S. helps us when working with students in the classroom and around campus. We encourage every student to be Grizzly G.R.E.A.T. (GROWTH MINDED, RESPECTFUL, ENGAGED, ACT RESPONSIBLY, AND TREAT EVERYONE WITH KINDNESS). Students are rewarded monthly by being entered into a drawing and receiving a prize.

Last school year, we were at a 95% attendance rate, and this year we are trying to reach 98%. Families, please help us get your students to school on time daily. If there are any times you might question if you should send your child to school, we encourage you to call the office, and they can guide you on if the student should come to school or stay home.

I look forward to a great year of watching your students grow academically, socially and developing their character.

    In partnership,

    Amy Pry, Principal
