2023-2024 Year End Wrap-up
January 3, 2024
Happy 2024! I hope this message finds everyone in the Team RUSD community well and filled with enthusiasm as we start the second half of the 2023-2024 school year. Reflecting on the past few months, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the incredible dedication and hard work demonstrated by our students, parents, teachers, staff, and administrators. Together, we are a vibrant and supportive community that continues to thrive and evolve.
In the coming months, we have a multitude of exciting events, projects, and initiatives planned that promise to enrich the educational experience for our students. From academic competitions and celebrations to cultural events and athletic contests, our aim is to provide a well-rounded and engaging environment that fosters growth and learning.
One specific initiative I am excited to share is our work, in collaboration with students, parents, staff, administrators and community members, to create our “Student Profile of a Graduate.” This process began last August and is estimated to be complete by December 2024. The result will be an agreed upon “profile” with specific learner and leadership characteristics we want to see in every student who graduates from the Redlands Unified School District. The finished product will encompass all students of all grade levels and will serve as our “North Star” for all academic pathways. Thank you to all who have already participated in this project and to those who will soon.
As always, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to our families for your ongoing support. Your involvement in your child's education is invaluable, and we encourage you to maintain open communication with our teachers and administration. Working together, we can ensure that every student reaches their full potential.
To our dedicated teachers, staff, and administrators your passion for education is truly inspiring. Your commitment to nurturing the intellectual and emotional development of our students is at the core of our success. As we navigate the challenges of the second semester, I have no doubt that your expertise and enthusiasm will continue to make a lasting impact.
Students, your achievements are the heart and soul of our school community. Embrace the opportunities that the second half of the school year presents and remember that each day is a new chance to grow, learn, and make a positive impact on those around you.
Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to celebrating the successes and milestones that await us in the second half of the school year.
Respectfully,
Juan Cabral, Superintendent
