3 Eagle Scouts honored at RUSD Board Meeting

3 Eagle Scouts honotef at Board Meeting

REDLANDS, Calif., - Three were Redlands East Valley (REV) High School seniors were honored at the Tuesday Board of Education Meeting on Dec. 10 for their contributions throughout the community as Eagle Scouts.

Conner Neely was recognized for the extensive beautification projects he worked on at Simpson Elementary. 

He installed a garden for the kindergarteners for students to work in weekly. He also painted and installed da ladybug and caterpillar tire planter and metal ones. He also purchased and planted a drought-resistant orange tree. He installed privacy slats in the surrounding fences and assembled a concrete picnic table.

Derek Cranfill embarked on a yearlong project to benefit veterans who lay in rest at Hillside Memorial Park. He located each of their grave sites and collected relevant information from their headstones, including respective branches of service. The picture of the headstone and GPS coordinates were taken and were input into a CIty of Redlands database.

Patrick Cranfill refurbished the trash receptacles at Crafton Park. Wood rot was removed and replaced with new plastic planks that were wood-like. Two brand new receptacles were also installed.
